Mud Salmon (2015)
Two years after the disappearance of amateur ornithologist Willy De Martelaere, young filmmaker and good friend Tom Van Hee decides to bring an ode to the man.
Without a starting point and without knowing how to bring an ode through the medium of film, Tom Van Hee starts his quest to find people who remind him of Willy. This brings him to a young biology student who devotes his life to his studies in flora and fauna.
The film rapidly changes into a dissection of the life of the solitary biology student that seeks refuge in nature.
